Updating my previous review because I cannot let my 3-star review stand. I love this place. I think I hit it on an off day. I’ve been a few times since, and while I’m still not entirely sure what the seating situation is, the food makes up for it. While I haven’t dined there in quite some time, I have stopped in to get fish from the market and have ordered delivery. On both counts, I’ve been so happy. This is my go-to seafood option. … The food is excellent. I always beeline for this place whenever I’m jonesing for a lobster roll (big chunks of lobster!). However the service always leaves something to be desired. I’ve been a few times and I still couldn’t tell you if it’s seat yourself or if a hostess seats you. Last time I went, I couldn’t find a single staff-person on the floor. So I just went ahead and sat at the bar. Bartender seemed distracted with other things — she may have been waiting tables too? But she still checked on me a few times. I watched a few tables trying to figure out where their server was due to long absences and empty drinks (or the desire to pay). Still, the service is honestly not bad enough to avoid it and I still recommend it for the quality of food.
