The most beautiful view we’ve ever had during any stay
The most beautiful view we’ve ever had during any stay in Colorado. The property overlooks Twin Lakes, plus there was the added benefit of the September fall colors. We visited Aspen via Independence Pass, Crested Butte via Cottonwood Pass, as well as Leadville and Buena Vista. Our unit had all amenities listed and the kitchen provided all items needed for preparing our meals. Some might find the unit cramped for a 2-bedroom, but the three of us were comfortable enough. We had no issues with the units being close as the others were respectful. I recognize what other reviewers have commented as to cleanliness and condition; however, we would stay there again.

Amazing stay!!! My husband, pug and I loved every minute!!! You can't beat the views from the patio!!!! Comfortable beds, nice living room area and overall amazing place! Wish I got to stay longer! My dog wanted to move to Colorado after that stay 🤣

The Moose Meadow cabin was perfect for our 4-day getaway to the mountains. We stayed 3 nights with our dog and loved it. It has everything you need for adventuring during the day and coming back in the evening to relax. The views are stunning! Photos can't really capture the rugged beauty and massiveness of being surrounded by 13 and 14K peaks! Check-in and communication were all very smooth...would recommend the Moose!

This cabin was absolutely beautiful with amazing surroundings that allowed for a refreshing and peaceful stay. It had all the amenities we needed, and we were grateful for the washer and dryer and all the cookware provided. It was confusing to figure out which cabin was ours from the road, because the sign on front was faded, and when I called the host number, the woman sounded like she had no idea what the property looked like or what was around it, as if she was a third party agent. We got help from an onsite maintenance man who luckily was there. Additionally, there was some dust, especially visible under beds and on some decor, but that didn't negatively impact our experience. We all really enjoyed our time at the cabin and would stay again.

Moose Meadow was a great getaway. It was very beautiful lodge away from the city. It is about a 30 minute drive to the start of Mt. Elbert South hiking trail, and the roads up to the lodge are gravel. Lots of construction / new homes being built in the neighborhood. Very safe, however the bathroom window wasn’t locked when we arrived. Comfortable beds, clean lodge, and beautiful views.

The view from the Moose cabin was absolutely beautiful. The road to get there was clear easily accessible by a regular car. We went early April but I’m sure in winter months a 4 wheel drive car would be necessary. The location is quiet and peaceful. The gas grill came in handy! The cabin is a cozy place with the perfect amount of amenities. The only thing I might critique was the heating. It seemed like heaters didn’t put out consistent heat…but that could’ve been just user error. Nothing bundling up couldn’t fix. Overall a fantastic stay! Would highly recommend and would go again!

Firstly, the host Air simplicity was great! immediately responsive when we locked ourselves out (watch out, the door locks behind you!)
The cabin is on a lot with 3 others in very close proximity (2-3ft). Everyone had large barking dogs which made our work remote trip less desirable.
The space is also very small, maneuvering around with 2 people and two dogs was very tight. Not ADA accessible at all.
Furniture was worn and uncomfortable, for the price of the listing an update would be reasonable.
Internet was fast, cabin stocked with necessities. This is a great place to crash for mountain activities, I wouldn't say it's really family friendly or a place you'd want to lounge at all day.

We loved our stay at the Moose Cabin! The price was great for the fall leaf peeping season! The views were amazing and the cabin had everything we needed! We enjoyed meals outside on the table and used the grill for one of them. We loved being able to log into our Netflix in the evening as well and watch our shows! The beds were a little more firm than we are used to, but that would not deter us from staying again. This was a just the 2 of us getaway, but we hope to bring our kids up next summer!

This was our second time staying at the Moose cabin. It was overall a great stay but better the first time.
The views are stunning! It’s a great place for a small family. We have only stayed in the late summer time and it hasn’t been overly hot inside. We felt like the beds were clean and the overall cabin was clean. No dust or pet hair. Some utensils were still dirty from the previous tenants and the screen door was missing.

What a great place! The cabin was clean, comfortable, modern and well equipped. I have already started making plans to come back later this year.
With views looking down on the lake, both sunsets and sunrises are spectacular. I've stayed at many vacation rentals and this one is special.

Had a great couple nights at Moose Cabin. As noted
Had a great couple nights at Moose Cabin. As noted in a couple other reviews, it's in a complex with 3 other cabins right next to it, but each place still had its own parking and none has connected walls. The view over the lake with the mountains right there was incredible. Lots of good hikes in the area. There is a small general store in Twin Lakes, but not much else. It's less than a <30 minute drive into Leadville though.
The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The host was quickly responsive to messages.
I took a couple points off of cleanliness because there was dust caked on the fans and you could see some other areas that could use some dusting.
Overall it was a great cabin in an awesome location up in the mountains, and I'd highly recommend it!

This location is absolutely beautiful! The cabin was warm and inviting even though it was frigid outside. It was a quick drive to the lake which made for insane pictures of the mountains. The cabin had everything we needed to get away from the world for a couple of days but still had wonderful wifi and cell service if we ever needed anything. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions and it made the stay so relaxing. The outdoor area was perfect for sipping hot cocoa and taking in the view and when it got a little too chilly we could cuddle up on the couch with the same view of the mountains. Overall a magnificent stay.

By far the best cabin I have stayed in for
By far the best cabin I have stayed in for the price. Wife and I went on a much needed vacation. Although Twin Lakes itself doesn’t have many restaurants, stores, etc. like the larger towns (Buena Vista, Leadville), it’s not far from them. It’s also incredibly peaceful.
Truly a hidden gem. Thank you!

This cabin was an awesome base camp for heading out to do some hiking or trail running in the mountains. The price was cheaper than a hotel, less hassle, and much more comfortable. Highly recommended.

The cabin has a beautiful view and was fairly clean.
The cabin has a beautiful view and was fairly clean. Make sure you check the bedding to see that it’s clean as our blankets were dirty when we got there. We just washed them instead of bringing it up to the host. The closest gas station and town is 14 miles away so be sure to bring your own groceries and to fill up your gas tank when you can. Our stay was very peaceful and quiet. Overall staying at the cabin was a lovely experience. The cabin was a inconvenient distance from town and from bigger cities, but it would be the perfect stay for someone who wants to get away.

The place was very clean and as you see from all the other reviews the view is amazing. We also felt the area was safe. The water pressure was so great (rain shower too)! The couch isnt too comfortable but you’re not spending too much time watching tv in this beautiful location! Lastly, if you have an infant with you like we did, the pack n play will only fit in the queen room. Therefore the king bed went unused during our stay.

Minus one star because the place was not ready for us at checkin
Minus one star because the place was not ready for us at checkin. After exchanging some messages, someone was sent to do a modest cleaning (new towels, bed sheets, etc.). Plus one star because the host credited us $100 since the place was not ready. Minus one star because the host did not want to give the discount until after the review period. Overall 4 stars. The place is comfortable enough for a family. Great views. Other cabins and houses
are close by, but folks were quiet. I get the sense the owners have hired employees to handle things. Would we stay here again? Maybe.

I cannot put into words how beautiful the view from our patio was. For my friends for trip to Colorado, the expectations were set high, hard to find a better view. Cabin was clean, and cozy. Felt right at home. Would definitely stay again!
Ps. The cabin gets a little warm at night (if you are someone who likes to sleep cold) I’d bring a fan. I slept no problem.

Beautiful Convenient Location
The Moose Cabin in Twin Lakes was located in a beautiful area with great views of the lakes out the back door. The cabin was a short 15-20 minute drive to Leadville and about 25 minutes to BV and all the outdoor activities you would want within a 30 minute drive.

The location and view are incredible, and thus the value of staying here is off the charts. The queen bed is memory foam and is very comfortable, the king bed is a more traditional mattress. We only had a few hiccups with the wifi over a 5 day period, otherwise it was pretty fast, around 70mbps. It was easy to communicate with the host when things weren't working, they were very quick to respond which we appreciated. I would recommend staying here, and will look forward to staying again when I am back in the Rockies.
Loved it !
We LoVED this property ! We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday weekend with our dog .we were lucky enough to be the only ones out of the 4 cabins and had the place to ourselves . We stayed in Moose & had more room than we expected .had everything we needed for grilling ,snacking & hiking . Panoramic views & 5 minute drive down to twin lakes beach was the best . We will be back during summer & fall . Excellent !!!

Wow. This cabin is what air bnb is all about. The cabin has incredible views of the tallest mountains in Colorado and it's really all times of the day. 6am sunrise of the peaks, clear beautiful cold 10am morning, sunset, stars at night. Amazing location! The cabin was perfect for a romantic getaway. We loved crashing in the TV room & slept great on the King bed. You could do 4 people in here, not a ton of room for 4 but the main events are outdoors anyways.

What an awesome cabin! Moose cabin has great views from the kitchen and living room, it was beautiful to wake up and see the morning light on the mountains from the warmth of our cabin each day. Great communication with the host too! Would happily stay here again.

Lovely stay
The view of Twin Lakes was beautiful! The cabin was clean, well stocked, and the perfect size! I will definitely stay here again! My only slight complaint is that the directions seemed to leave off a left turn onto Ross, which turns into Pan Ark - we ended up in the bad place, but figured it out eventually!

This is a gorgeous spot to getaway in the mountains of colorado. there are wonderful hikes nearby and the absolute BEST place to visit to see fall foliage. My mom and I had a wonderful stay in the Moose Cabin and hope to return one day! Leadville is also decently close by and that’s always a fun time as well. Definitely would love to stay here again. Great accommodations there to cook a nice meal as well. Thank you!

Beautiful location and view from this quaint cabin
Beautiful location and view from this quaint cabin. Living areas smaller than advertised, however very large bedrooms and updated bathroom with good water pressure and hot water. Would advise packing food/necessities as the closest grocery store is a 25min drive to either Leadville or Buena Vista. Also, expect lack of WiFi (could not stream on the network provided, had to use hotspots). Overall, paying for the views and the quiet beautiful location. Grey selection of board games as well which we enjoyed.
The view from this place is awesome
The view from this place is awesome. The indoor space is tight, with a very small living room, indoor dining only at the kitchen island, and very little space in the bedrooms to put your things (no available closets, one small dresser in the king room, just barely enough room to walk around the beds). There are other cabins just feet away from yours so you will hear the next door conversations if the windows are open, but this mostly was not a problem for us. Beds are comfortable. As long as you can spend most of your time outdoors and don't have complicated cooking to do, it's good.
Very pleasurable

I stayed here with my husband and our dog for 6 days and it was the perfect getaway. The location is beautiful - you can see out onto the twin lakes and mountains all around from the front of the house. It was the perfect launch pad for hiking Mt. Elbert and close to Mt. Massive, Mt. Plata, and many others as well. Would also recommend kayaking twin lakes if you get a chance.
The cabin itself was very cozy and had everything we needed. We didn’t want to leave at the end of our stay! We would love to come back one day.

This is a nice tiny cabin with stunning views. A great value. It is very tight in there but we were cozy as a family of three with our dog. We cooked all our meals there be loved having our morning coffee on the front “porch” overlooking the lake.

Great views and a comfortable cabin to be a home base. So glad we were able to bring our dog to enjoy the area as well. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen enabled us to cook. Perfect getaway!

Great location to chill out! The cabin has a beautiful view of the lake with a table outside to enjoy the view even more. Really close to Twin Lakes for recreation & lots of games to play if you decide to stay in. We were able to bring our dog who loved it as much as we did. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Extraordinary place to stay! The view while eating breakfast simply
Extraordinary place to stay! The view while eating breakfast simply cannot be beaten. Easy access to Twin Lakes, beautiful hiking nearby or simply walk along the dirt path for great views. The cabin itself has everything you need to cook plus a w/d! Water pressure in the bathroom was very strong! I did work while I was there. Wifi was fine for general browsing and work, but I connected to my hot spot for video calls and screen sharing.

We had a fantastic stay! Amazing view and well furnished. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, like labeled soaps and instructions on how to use machines/lights and the check-out instructions were very clear. Will definitely go back!

The Moose Lodge was the perfect getaway into the mountains. The cabin itself has a beautiful view to wake up and see every morning and close to some wonderful sites. Cabin is a nice size, shower is great after a long day in the cold, and has all the amenities you could as for. Highly reccomend!

The cabin had great views and was definitely “cozy
The cabin had great views and was definitely “cozy.” It was smaller than expected and check in instructions weren’t clear. The wood burning stove isn’t real which was a let down. WiFi existed but we had to use our phone hotspots for the whole trip. It was also less remote than expected, it was pretty a populated neighborhood but the neighborhood itself was very remote.
The drives to the ski resorts weren’t bad. The ETAs to the ski resorts were accurate on a clear day. One snowy day it took us 30 minutes longer but that’s to be expected.
