Outgoing, friendly and always helpful staff make this store what it is! Despite these challenging times AND during peak holiday season (which often can be already highly stressful on its’ own), each staff member was pleasant and offered support to myself, and others around me, in knowledgeable manners. I had some great, much needed laughs with 2 women, one staff member (she had already helped me and wish i had got her name to give her credit here) who was on the floor and one customer. The staff member asked the customer, if she could, “help you find anything”? To which the customer replied in perfect tone and timing, “well I am not sure…HAVE you seen my husband?” Together, we 3 enjoyed some playful conversation and well wishes. While in line to checkout, when I noticed a few patrons and children getting antsy. So i hugged part of a bookshelf and told the books how much I loved and appreciated all they do for us. One of the kiddos followed suite, followed by a couple customers. It is these moments we get to be humans. Not hustle and bustle people all caught up in societies expectations and fears. Just simple humans enjoy each other and what they love. Thank you to B & N for creating such a lovely place for just those moments!
