This is our second year being here, and while the town itself is almost too quiet, the rest and relaxation at Wolf Cabin is priceless. And the view of the lake and the changing colors (well, last year--this year we were a bit too early) are spectacular.

We had a lovely stay! The place was easy to find with a smooth drive on the dirt road. The lake view from the cabin is beautiful. On a summer day in August the temperature is ~65F so no AC is not an issue. The kitchen had everything we needed and water filter was provided. Some kitchen ware were a bit worn out—for example, the small frying pan handle was a little loose. Overall, it was a very nice stay, and we enjoyed our time here.

We had a wonderful girls' trip to Twin Lakes, and the Wolf Retreat was an ideal setting. There was a beautiful lake view, and the cabin itself had everything we needed. We followed the provided directions and found it easily. We got there easily in an AWD Subaru during the summer.

A nice place. Felt out of the way without being far off the main road. Glad to be able to bring our pup. You may need some bug spray- the first night we got bitten up while sitting out. No AC was not a problem during our stay - weather was cool and the fan above the dining room helped circulate air. Reallllllly lovely view of the lake. Be advised though that the photos don’t indicate vehicles may be parked outside the front of the cabin which partially obscures the lake view.

We loved how close Leadville is - for shopping, dining and having a beer at the local brewery. Stopped to enjoy the amazing sunset on the way back to the cabin.

Other people were filtering in and out of the neighbouring cabins but everyone was quiet. We loved everything about our stay and would definitely recommend it to others!

We had beautiful views of the lakes, great outside spaces, super clean, plenty of towels, necessities, etc. Amazing peaceful views for early morning coffee drinking or nice glass of wine while watching the sunset!

We love these cabin properties – have stayed here before
We love these cabin properties - have stayed here before in other units and will stay again! You can’t beat the location! The wolf retreat is laid out very well, has a great view of the lake and a nice av setup. Kitchen has all the accessories you need to a meal cook. There are other people close by in the other units, but everyone was quiet and kept to themselves.

Good property with just a few minor issues (lamps we couldn't figure out how to turn on, drawers that don't open, shower head designed for midgets, etc.) All of which was secondary to the breathtaking views - they were the high point of our stay!

We enjoyed hiking and spending time in Frisco and Breckenridge. 20 minutes from the cabin is Leadville and a pizza place called High Mountain Pies. We absolutely loved their pizza and highly recommend giving it a try for yourself. We will almost definitely be visiting the cabin again. Also there’s a very cute mountain bluebird that liked to fly into the sliding glass door, he was very cute. We named him Doorian. Thanks for the awesome week 👍.

Loved the place. Bed was super comfy. We went up to hike but WE forgot our coats. Lol. Down in Denver was 70 degrees when we left. Remembered as we stepped out of the truck. We will stay here again for sure.

Very peaceful spot and the cabin was exactly as described. Lots of thoughtful amenities in the bathroom and kitchen. We made use of the outdoor grill while enjoying the views. Thanks for a memorable stay.

Cute little cabin in a wonderful location with views of Twin Lakes and surrounding mountains. We booked this place specifically to have somewhere to work from during the week, as Wifi was advertised as fast. Unfortunately we did run into issues with it so if you are dependent on Wifi during your stay, I wouldn't recommend. However if you're looking for a place to disconnect with beautiful surroundings and great access to the outdoors, this is a great place.

This is a nice quiet place with a beautiful view of the lake. Definitely a great place for a get away and enjoy the outdoors. There are a couple little things that could be improved to make the place next level. King bed was ok but my hip started to hurt by the second night because of a dip. The bedding doesn’t cover the cheaper bed frame, takes away from the look. Shower head was very low. I’m 6’1” so a little tall but even my wife who is shorter felt it was too low. That being said, it is a wand shower head so you can take it off the wall to use it.

The cabin was the perfect size for just the two of us and we loved the Colorado rustic motif decorations. The board games were a bonus as there many domino battles had a couple of late nights. We definitely will come and stay here again! We would also love to stay in one of the other cabins on the property.

I won't be able to say enough about this incredible property!!! The view is obviously breathtaking. The cabin is adorable, clean, well laid out, stocked, safe and so very very comfortable. We enjoyed quiet nights, comfortable sleeps, meals in the kitchen and a little light conversation with some of the other renters. It is also very conveniently located to the Inn, the General Store, the visitors center and many trails. We would most certainly stay here again. In fact - we are already planned for next year. This was a fun relaxing quiet spot for a few days. The best was waking up to the changing view. Early in the morning it was obliterated, then the sun started to burn off the clouds...just magical!
The unit itself is a studio that works well for a couple. You aren't bothered by the people in the other units. There is a mega-house being built next door that might impact this tranquil setting. The outer shell is done so we weren't impacted by the construction which was limited to the interior while we were there.

The air simpllcity folks were terrific communicators.
The unit itself is a studio that works well for a couple. You aren't bothered by the people in the other units. There is a mega-house being built next door that might impact this tranquil setting. The outer shell is done so we weren't impacted by the construction which was limited to the interior while we were there.

We had a fantastic stay at this Twin Lakes cabin. The views from the cabin and patio are simply incredible. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay and was as described in the listing. We enjoyed several fantastic days hiking and sightseeing nearby at the lake, at Independence Pass, at Cottonwood Pass, and at Turquoise Lake. We hope to return and will look to stay here again next time!

The views of Twin Lakes from this place are lovely! The shower pressure is great and this place is spacious and has a nice charm to it. It’s a quick drive to the town of Twin Lakes. We explored a lot in Leadville (25 min) for grocery items, lunch spots and some shopping. You can take the drive to get to the top of Independence Pass (when it is open) for beautiful views of the Continental Divide. I would highly recommend this place for a few day peaceful getaway!

The view is breathtaking and the location is fantastic. The bed was comfortable and the hosts were very responsive. However, there were a few issues that kept it from a 5-star review.
We arrived 1.5 hours before the check-in time and the place was obviously cleaned and ready for us, because we could see in through the sliding glass door. Most reasonable hosts wouldn't mind, but when we reached out to the host to ask about an early check-in, they charged a $50 fee, even though the place was ready, and there was nobody at the site being inconvenienced. This really gave us the feeling we were dealing with a big business instead of a local host that we are accustomed to. Luckily there was a beautiful lake nearby that we hung out at while we waited.
There were little things that made us feel like the hosts were out of touch with the property. The WiFi listed on the profile was incorrect and we had to contact them to get the correct one. The check out procedures asked us to load last-minute dishes in the dishwasher, and there is no dishwasher. The place in constructed in a clunky manner: some drawers in the kitchen don't open all the way because they run into each other's handles, the closets have trendy sliding doors that are unable to open all the way. Small things like that.
Also, some dishes waiting for us in the cabinets were not fully cleaned.

This place was a perfect base camp for our trip to twin lakes with our two dogs. The wifi wasn’t working, but I sent a message to the host and they got back with me within 15 mins with another option for us to have wifi! Beautiful views, and a perfect cozy place! We will be back! Thank you 🙂

The view alone makes this property well worth the stay. The owners are excellent at communication. We actually had a glitch with the wi-fi, and they were super quick to respond and find a solution. There’s outdoor seating as well as a grill and heaters. The stars are amazing and the stay is super quiet. You can bring pets as well for a fee. We would definitely stay here again.

Wolf cabin is not particularly large, but the amenities are just what you need. Views are an undeniably stellar. Directions are clear, everything works, and bed is very comfortable. Simply awesome!

We loved everything about the wolf cabin. Just the views alone make this place one of the best places we’ve stayed. The house was stocked with any kitchen gadget you might need. There were some random spices and herbs too which came in handy. The bed was super comfy and water was hot for showers. Can’t wait to come back!

First things first, THE VIEWS make you feel like you’re in an entire different country
First things first, THE VIEWS make you feel like you’re in an entire different country!!! The value for these types of views is absolutely amazing! My husband and I are both seasoned travelers and neither one of us had ever heard of Twin Lakes, CO and it was just breathtaking. The only downside to our stay was zero Wi-Fi and cleanliness wasn’t very pleasant. New linens would really do this place a favor! As far as the overall experience, we were very pleased and don’t regret it one bit!!

They did end up giving us a discount for the inconvenience. The views are gorgeous from the cabin, and they get even better walking down the road. I’d recommend doing your shopping in Leadville at the Safeway as that’s your only grocery option, and then dining out in Leadville or Buena Vista if you’re not cooking. It’s a weird time in Twin Lakes right now because all the summer activities are closed, and there is no snow for winter ones, so come prepared to really just do a lot of hiking.

Super cozy with great views
We had a nice quick stay here, with some friends staying in one of the other cabins. It was really nice to have our own space and have friends to hang out with just a few steps away. We enjoyed the views of the lake and mountains, and though it's a studio-style space, it feels pretty open and spacious.

Overall this was great, but a few things: construction of a house literally right next door eliminated our ‘quiet getaway’, the loveseat and futon are very uncomfortable . Otherwise it was a very nice stay, beautiful location / view.

Very nice cabin! It was perfect for 2! The view went way beyond my expectations. The cabin has 2 sliding doors facing Twin Lakes and the mountains at a high elevation so it is absolutely stunning.

Wonderfully quiet location with lovely views. For a lone traveler, this was perfect, as there are houses and other guests nearby. You can’t beat the easy access to Buena Vista, Salida, and Leadville, as well as the views on Independence Pass.

Fantastic cabin for a getaway with amazing views of the lakes and mountains. Location is great for hikes and lake activities with great food options at both Leadville and Buena Vista. We had a great time with our dogs and also the other nearby guests.

Mountain perfection!
We completely enjoyed our stay at Wolf Cabin! The cabin was the perfect size for myself, my husband and our two dogs. The bed was very comfy and the cabin is stocked with all the essentials. The cabin is in an ideal location for adventure and the Twin Lames area itself is awesome. We’d definitely stay here again.

We completely enjoyed our stay at Wolf Cabin! The cabin was the perfect size for myself, my husband and our two dogs. The bed was very comfy and the cabin is stocked with all the essentials. The cabin is in an ideal location for adventure and the Twin Lames area itself is awesome. We’d definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous, serene crystal lake views from mountain top. Starry nights, quiet surroundings. Hummingbirds, swallows and chipmunks all around. Lovely cabin, clean with modern mountain vibe decor. Large closet with hangers, nice bathroom with modern fixtures. Cooked many great meals in the kitchen, which had a crock pot and toaster, a bonus ! Wi-fi signal is very spotty and weak, and often unavailable... so the cabin is great if you are looking to completely unplug from the cares of the world.

My husband and I had an amazing week in this cabin! The view is unreal! You can admire the lake and the mountains from your bed! The place is immaculate. I love to cook, and the kitchen had all the utensils needed to prepare complete meals. There is also a high quality gas grill on site. We had a great time admiring the humming birds and chipmunks playing in the front yard. Our trip was perfect and cannot wait to return!!!

The views from Wolf’s Den are breathtaking! The cabin is comfy and it’s location is ideal. We did a happy blend of relaxing/picnicking by the shores of Twin Lakes and hiking some of the scores of trails in the area. Leadville and Buena Vista are drivable distances for local history, shopping, restaurants. If you have the chance though, dinner at Twin Lakes Inn is a must.

Our kids are building up in the area and we love to come up and see the progress. The view from Wolf cabin was wonderful. Plenty of room for the two of us. Easy to find and enjoyed a couple of fishing days also.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the views were amazing and it had all the accommodations we could need. Very close to walking trails and not a far drive from towns with food and shopping. Highly recommend!

Cozy spot
Cozy spot. Clean rental. Easy check in. Fast response to any messages. Not as close to the lake as the pictures make you think though. I will also mention that because the cabins are right next to each other without much of a gap you can hear EVERYTHING that your fellow travelers are saying, doing.

This is such a great little place. Location is amazing as are the views and it is and very quiet. Even with people staying in the rooms nearby we didn’t have any issues with noise. At most, we heard construction/building behind us while having our tea and coffee outside, but it wasn’t a nuisance at all. We were very surprised about cost/location. I highly recommend this spot if you want to unplug, hike, run or just take a good and relaxing brake!

This place is INCREDIBLE
This place is INCREDIBLE. My husband and I booked it to celebrate my 30th birthday and we had the best time. Our only complaint would be a few cleaning issues, especially since we pay a cleaning fee when booking. Some kitchen utensils had left over food dried on them so we had to wash everything before we used it. There was some black mold in the shower, specifically around the window and the ledge under the window sill where you're supposed to keep all of your soaps. Last, the floors hadn't been swept so there were all kinds of crumbs and things that our dog was finding to eat off the floor. The bed was hard for me, but that's just a personal preference. Otherwise, this place really was amazing. Amazing photo opportunities, it's very close to some great hikes (We specially did the Interlaken trail, which ends with an old resort on the water. Very cool!) We had fun playing the board games that are provided. The kitchen is very well stocked, the restaurants nearby are good, morning coffee and sunset yoga with these views absolutely could not be beat. We had a great time and will definitely be back again!

This is a great getaway for anyone looking to spend some time in the mountains. Cabin was amazing and the host was great to deal with. Breathtaking views from the front porch of two lakes with mountains in the background. Check in along with other instructions were easy and well communicated. Great place to stay!!! We will definitely be back.

As others have said, the view is amazing, the cabin is well-appointed and clean, and there's a ton to do outside within in a short drive. One caution about the Internet - you're in the mountains. For Zoom calls and some other work-related activities, I had to use my phone as a hotspot to get the bandwidth I needed. The good news is that cell service is great in that area.
