This is one of the most gorgeous towns I’ve ever stayed in. You can see Mt Elbert and Mt Massive in the near distance from the front porch and backyard. The town is so tiny you can walk it in about five minutes. There is a plethora of 14ers and shorter hikes and a beach situation at the Twin Lake reservoir. We went at the tail end of “off season”, so nothing in town was open but there’s a full kitchen so if you stock up on groceries in Leadville you are good to go. I desperately want to go again.
